Both you and your guests can share the screen for a live demo of the product, showing a presentation, etc. You or your guest can share your screen while keeping your face visible on the stream as well as audio.

Upon selecting the screen share icon inside Studio, you are prompted to choose whether you want to share your entire screen, an application window, or a browser tab.

Once you have selected the content you'll share, please make sure to toggle on the screen sharing feed (this option is located on the left-hand side from your preview window) as shown below.

Tip: When sharing a PowerPoint presentation or a Game, please avoid using them in full screen and opt for their "Full Window" version instead, to ensure smooth screen sharing on all types on a single monitor. On PowerPoint, you can enable this through the Slide Show menu by selecting "Set Up Slide Show" > "Browse by an individual (window)" > "OK".

For Windows users

If you want to also share audio, you can do so by checking the relevant box in the pop-up window. The 'Share Audio' option is only available for the entire screen or browser tab options. Application windows are sadly not supported by browsers at the moment.

For Mac users

Unfortunately, due to MacOS limitations, there is no option to share audio when you select the entire screen/application window to share. You can enable audio only when you share the browser tab.

Note: You can switch between feeds depending on which screen you would like to spotlight. In the examples above we spotlighted the screen we shared but you can spotlight yourself as well by dragging and dropping between the different feeds to re-arrange the layouts.

What to do if the screen sharing feature does not work?

  • Windows 10

If you are using a device running Windows 10 and screen sharing does not work for you, please check whether you are using the latest version of Chrome and update your browser if necessary to the latest release.

  • MacOS

If you are using a Mac and screen sharing does not work for you, please check the following:

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of your screen and click “System Preferences.”

  2. Then click “Security & Privacy”.

  3. Click the “Privacy” tab at the top.

  4. Scroll down to “Screen Recording”.

  5. Make sure your browser of choice is checked in that section.

  6. After you check the box, you’ll be asked to quit and re-open the application, but you probably won’t need to.

  • Safari

If you are using Safari and screen sharing does not work for you, please do the following:

  1. Click Safari - Settings for this website
