With Portrait mode in Studio, you can deliver vertically-oriented streams to your favourite mobile platforms, like Instagram, TikTok, and more.

Streaming in portrait mode

Studio supports both vertical and horizontal streams. You can easily change the orientation with the desktop or mobile icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.

Vertical streams are done in a 9:16 ratio, which is the traditional view on mobile-first platforms, like Instagram and TikTok.

On those platforms, your feed will take up your audience's full phone screen. If you're also multistreaming to desktop-first platforms, like Facebook, desktop viewers will see your full feed with black bars added on the sides to fit the screen ratio.

Requirements

  • Vertical streaming in Studio uses a 9:16 ratio and supports the following resolutions:

    • 1080x1920 (Full High Definition)

    • 720x1280 (High Definition)

  • Portrait mode is available on any of our plans, including the basic tier.

  • It’s not possible to switch orientation while being live.

  • Some platforms might not support portrait videos.
