Autoposting for Live Clipping

Written by Elisavet

Autoposting publishes eligible clips to your selected channels as they’re generated, so your best moments can reach your audience while you're still live.

How to configure Autoposting

Autoposting is configured in your Clips settings. You'll need to enable Live Clipping for Autoposting to work.

When setting up Autoposting, you'll configure:

  • Minimum virality score: only clips that meet or exceed this threshold will be posted. Use this to ensure only your strongest moments go live automatically.

  • Max clips per batch: set a limit on how many clips can be published per batch to avoid overposting.

  • Channels: select which connected channels the clips should be published to.

  • Caption template: define a caption format that will be rendered for each platform when a clip is published.

How Autoposting works

When a clip is generated during your stream, the system:

  1. Checks whether the clip meets your configured minimum virality score.

  2. Applies your max clips-per-batch limit.

  3. Renders the caption for each selected platform.

  4. Publishes the clip to your selected channels.

If you update your Autoposting settings while a stream is in progress, the changes apply to newly generated clips only.

Requirements

  • Autoposting is only available when Live Clipping is enabled.

  • If Live Clipping is turned off, Autoposting is automatically disabled. Your saved settings are preserved and will apply again when Live Clipping is re-enabled.

  • Live Clipping (and by extension, Autoposting) can be configured at the workspace level and overridden for individual events or streams directly in Studio or in the event scheduling flow.

FAQ

Why didn't my clip get posted?

Check the following:

  • Did the clip meet your minimum virality score threshold?

  • Had the max clips-per-batch limit already been reached?

  • Were eligible channels connected and selected in your Autoposting settings?

What happens if I turn off Live Clipping?

Autoposting turns off automatically when Live Clipping is disabled. Your Autoposting settings are saved and will be restored when you re-enable Live Clipping.

Can I turn off Autoposting for one stream without disabling it globally?

Yes. Live Clipping can be toggled on or off per event or stream, even when it's enabled at the workspace level. You can do this directly in Studio or through the event scheduling flow.

Can I use Autoposting without Live Clipping?

Not currently. Autoposting is part of the Live Clipping workflow in this release. We plan to expand and decouple this capability in the future.

I want to review clips before anything is posted — is that still possible?

Yes. Autoposting is opt-in. If you prefer to review clips manually before publishing, simply don't enable Autoposting. Your Live Clipping workflow remains unchanged.

Set your default clip preferences so every new clip is on-brand from the start.
