XSplit is a versatile live streaming software, renowned for its simplicity and power, trusted by creators worldwide to produce and deliver engaging video content.


How to connect XSplit to Restream

  1. Download and launch XSplit.

  2. Click Broadcast in your toolbar and select Set up a new output.

  3. Click Find more outputs and choose Restream.io, then click Install.

  4. Click Authorize next to the Username field.

  5. Sign in and authorize XSplit to access your Restream account.

    When you log in and authorize your Restream account, XSplit will be linked to the stream card marked "Default RTMP" on your Home screen.

  6. Open the Server menu to manually select the most suitable option for your location or leave it on Automatic.

  7. Click OK.

  8. To begin streaming, click Broadcast and select Restream.io.


Requirements

  • Recommended Output settings:

    • Set Max Keyframe Interval (secs) to 2.0.

    • For the rest of your settings, we recommend following the guidelines of your platforms.


Monitoring your stream

Once you've initiated your broadcast via XSplit, you can go back to your home screen on Restream and click View Stream under your RTMP stream card. From there, you can oversee your stream's performance, manage the channels you're streaming to, and keep an eye on viewer counts.
