If your stream isn't starting on LinkedIn or its status is stuck on "Sending Data", we've got some steps that can help.

Check approval

Make sure you have been approved by LinkedIn for live streaming on their platform.

The process of adding a LinkedIn channel on Restream triggers the auto-apply function of LinkedIn. If you get an error that you are not approved, you can review LinkedIn's live broadcasting criteria. If you fail to meet some criteria, LinkedIn advises that you can check again after 30 days, if you feel that your status has changed.

The approval for LinkedIn broadcasting applies individually to profiles and company pages. If your personal profile is approved for broadcasting, you are not automatically approved for the pages you own, and vice versa.

Check settings

If you have been approved for streaming but the stream isn't connecting to LinkedIn, you may not be streaming with the correct settings. Ensure that your stream settings meet LinkedIn's guidelines.

Check start time

Make sure that you go live to a scheduled LinkedIn event any time from 15 minutes before and up to two hours after the scheduled start time. If you don’t go live within this time period, the stream will not start and your stream will be cancelled.

Reconnect your channel

  1. From your home screen, click the Destinations button.

  2. Click Edit next to LinkedIn, then Remove destination.

  3. Click Add Channels and choose LinkedIn.

  4. Re-add the LinkedIn page that was just removed.

  5. Try going live on LinkedIn and check if your broadcast is successful.

💡 Restream Support is available 24/7 to offer assistance with complex issues.

Click the "Need Help?" button at the bottom right corner of your screen.
