Camera Scenes

Camera Scenes use your camera input as the primary source of your feed. They're perfect for when the focus needs to be on the people, like stream hosts or guests.

With a Camera Scene, you get:

  • 5 different layout options underneath your stream preview,

  • controls to maximize the participant, mute or adjust volume, and hide the input.

Media Scenes

Media Scenes use additional sources that you enable, like videos and presentations.

With a Media Scene, you get:

  • 6 different layout options underneath your stream preview,

  • additional controls to maximize the source, replace it on the spot, and hide it.

Depending on the type of media you add, you'll also get controls like playback settings for videos and slide switchers for presentations. Media Scenes currently include Presentations, Videos, Screen sharing, and RTMP feeds.

Countdown Scenes

Countdown Scenes provide customizable timers to use in your stream intro or between different sections. They're great for building up to key moments while getting ready.

With a Countdown Scene, you get:

  • 7 different timer options to pick the one that suits you,

  • 8 different types of royalty-free background music to set the mood,

  • multiple default backgrounds to choose from or upload your own,

  • an option to auto-switch to the next scene when the countdown is over.

Requirements

  • Pick the right browser for your operating system:

    • Windows, macOS, and Linux: Chrome (recommended), Firefox, Arc, Edge, Safari (least preferred).

    • Android: Chrome (recommended), Firefox.

    • iOS: Safari 14+

  • Keep your browser updated to the latest version.

  • Avoid ad blockers and browser extensions that may interfere with your setup.

FAQ

Do my media sources have to take up the whole screen?

Not at all. We provide multiple layouts so that you can choose what element needs to be the focus in each Scene. For example, you can place your camera feed next to a presentation if you want to show both inputs at the same time, but you can also full-screen a video that you may want to display without additional distractions around in.

Can I customize my Scenes?

Of course! Each Scene can be customized individually so that you can apply different designs to different sections of your stream. Each Scene will auto-save the design you apply in Studio and allow you to create seamless transitions between them.

You can learn more about customizing Scenes here.

Is the auto-switch option available only for Countdowns?

Currently, yes, but our team is working hard to bring auto-switch to more Scenes. Until then, you can switch between the rest of your Scenes manually with a single click or by using our shortcuts.
