Restream now auto-generates transcripts for every recording, with timestamps and speaker labels to help you scan, quote, or reuse your content.
How to generate transcripts
Go to your Video Storage and select Recordings.
Click the three dots next to any recording.
Choose Transcript.
The transcript will be generated automatically.
When ready, a banner appears at the top confirming the transcription is complete, with a Download button.
Click Download to save the transcript as a TXT file to your device.
Use cases

Pull quotes: Easily grab memorable lines for testimonials, intros, or social proof.

Requirements
You need a paid Restream plan for your streams to be recorded.
There is no limit to the length of recordings that can be transcribed.
The transcription supports 15 languages, including Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
