Requirements

  • On the Free plan, you can add 1 widget to each scene. On any paid plan, you can add up to 5 widgets per scene.

  • Browser Source is only available in landscape (horizontal) scenes.

  • Browser Source accepts a direct URL, not a full embed code. If a service provides an iframe embed code, copy the URL from the src field and paste that URL.

  • Using multiple animated browser sources may affect Studio performance.

FAQ

What can I add as a browser source?

You can add content from services that provide embeddable URLs, including:

  • Streamlabs alerts

  • StreamElements overlays

  • Countdown timers

  • Polls

  • Subscriber counters

  • Scoreboards

  • Music players

  • Other web-based widgets

Why isn't my browser source loading?

If your browser source isn't displaying correctly, check the following:

  • Make sure you pasted a URL, not the full HTML embed code.

  • Some websites do not allow their content to be embedded in other applications. If embedding is restricted, the browser source will not display in Studio.

Can browser sources play audio?

Yes, browser sources will play audio from supported sources.

Keep in mind that you are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to stream any audio content used in your broadcast.

Can I use browser sources in portrait scenes?

No, Browser Source is currently available only in horizontal scenes.

Why does the font in my browser source look different/get rendered incorrectly in the stream?

Browser sources are rendered on our servers where some system fonts may not be available. If your website doesn't load its own fonts, a different font may be used in the stream. To avoid this, you may reach out to the website administrator to add the fonts using Google Fonts or custom CSS.

💡 Don't need a third-party overlay? Add graphics directly in Studio instead.
