I can't share my screen in Studio

Identify and resolve any issues that affect sharing your screen in Studio.

Screensharing issues can be fixed quickly within your browser and operating system.

Check your operating system and browser

For iOS or Android

Screen sharing is not supported for Studio on mobile browsers so it cannot work with mobile phones or iPads/tablets. Please switch to a desktop.

For Windows

  1. Ensure you're using the latest browser version and update if needed.

  2. Disable ad blockers and extensions that may interfere with your setup.

  3. Try another browser; Chrome is recommended for Studio.

For Mac

  1. Click Privacy & Security in System Settings.

  2. Under the Privacy menu, click Screen & System Audio Recording.

  3. Toggle on your browser (e.g. Chrome).

  4. You may need to quit and re-open the browser for changes to take effect.

  5. If using Safari, go to Studio and click Safari in the top left corner.

  6. Select "Settings for".

  7. Make sure Screen Sharing is set to Ask.

Check the window you are trying to share

If you’re trying to share a specific application window, it might not appear as a selectable option if it’s in full-screen mode.

Exit full screen and use "Full Window" or "Windowed mode" instead to ensure smooth screen sharing.
