Screensharing Feature Troubleshooting
What should you do if the Restream Studio screensharing feature does not work?

Check out the instructions below to see how you can troubleshoot any issues with screen sharing, depending on your operating system and browser!

In this article, we will cover:

⚙️ Windows 10

If you are using a device running Windows 10 and screen sharing does not work for you, please check whether you are using the latest version of Chrome and update your browser if necessary to the latest release.

⚙️ macOS

If you are using a Mac and screen sharing does not work for you, please check the following:

  1. Please click “Security & Privacy” in System Preferences.

  2. Click the “Privacy” tab at the top.

  3. Scroll down to “Screen Recording”.

  4. Make sure your browser of choice is checked in that section.

  5. After you check the box, you’ll be asked to quit and re-open the application, but you probably won’t need to.

⚙️ Safari

If you are using Safari and screen sharing does not work for you, please do the following:

  1. Click on "Safari" and "Settings for" while you are connected to Restream Studio.

  2. Set the Screen Sharing to Ask or Allow and refresh the browser.
