Why you need X Premium to go live
From July 14 2024, only verified X users with a Premium or Premium+ account can live stream on X.
This is a requirement from X. On Restream’s side, you can still use any of our pricing plans, including the free tier, to go live on your X Premium account.
How to get X Premium
Go to https://verified.x.com to purchase a Premium X account.
Complete the verification process. You need to verify your personal premium account or be a part of a Verified Organization on X.
Once you're done, follow the steps in this guide to connect your X account to Restream and start streaming.
How to check if you can stream on X
If you try to start streaming to an X account but haven't subscribed to X Premium, you'll see a message that "Your X account is required to have X Premium to go live".
If you add X as a new channel without an X Premium subscription, you'll see a message that "You can't go live on X".
If none of these messages appear when you add an X channel or try to go live, you should be able to stream to X successfully.
Requirements
If your account belongs to an X Verified Organization plan and you see the blue checkmark on your profile, you should already be eligible to stream.
You can get X Premium for free if your X account has over 2500 verified followers.
If you start streaming to an X account without an X Premium subscription, your broadcast will not go live on X. Your other channels will still connect.
If you have changed your profile photo, display name, or username within the last 3 days, you may not be eligible for X Premium. In that case, X recommends trying again later.
