Preparing for an audio-only stream with guests? This guide will ensure a smooth experience for everyone involved.
How to join an audio-only stream as a guest
Access the invite link provided by your host.
Click the Allow button that will pop up in your browser to let Restream access your camera and microphone.
Turn off your camera, but leave your microphone on.
Click Edit Avatar to upload a photo to display while your camera is off. Your avatar will pulse when you speak, letting others know you're talking.
Enter the name you want to use for the broadcast and click Join Stream.
Once in the waiting room, you'll be able to hear the stream, but you won’t be audible to the audience yet.
When the host brings you on air, your audio will be live, and you'll hear everything in real time.
You can see a list of the Studio features you can use as a Guest here.
