How to join a webinar
Your host will share a dedicated webinar link with you before the event.
Click the webinar link shared by your host.
Complete the registration by entering your name and email address when prompted. This registers you for the event.
If the webinar hasn't started yet, you'll see the event details — such as the title, thumbnail, and scheduled time — while you wait for the host to go live.
Once the host starts the webinar, the stream will begin playing automatically on the webinar page.
💡 Note: For scheduled webinars, you can also click Add to Calendar to save the event to your calendar.
How to participate on screen
If the host has enabled the option for attendees to call in, you can request to join the webinar as an on-screen guest.
Request to join as a guest
While watching the webinar, click the Call in button at the top-right corner of the webinar page.
Follow the prompt and fill out your name, title, and question for the host. Click Send Request. The host will receive a notification and can accept or reject it.
If accepted, you'll join the webinar backstage. The host controls when and whether you appear on screen.
Receive a direct invite from the host
The host can also invite you directly from their Chat or Attendee panel. If you receive an invitation:
Accept the invitation when prompted.
You'll be placed in the backstage under the host's Sources menu.
The host manages who appears on screen and will bring you on when ready.
How to interact via Restream Chat
Restream Chat lets you send messages that the host can see and respond to during the webinar.
While watching the webinar, locate the Chat button at the bottom-right corner of the webinar page.
Type your message in the chat input field.
Press Enter or click Send. Your message will appear in the chat and will be visible to the host inside Restream Studio.
How to watch a webinar replay
If you missed the live event, a recording is available after the webinar ends — no extra steps needed.
Open the same webinar link you used (or were sent) for the live event.
Click the Watch Replay button that appears on the webinar page once the recording is ready.
If the webinar was also streamed to Slack, you can watch the replay directly from that Slack channel using the same Watch Replay button.
💡 Replay availability is controlled by the host. If the Watch Replay button doesn't appear, the host may have disabled the recording or deleted the event.
