If LinkedIn usernames aren't appearing in Restream Chat as expected, there are simple steps that can help.


Adjust account settings

To ensure comments from a LinkedIn user appear on external websites like Restream, the commenter must enable a visibility setting on their LinkedIn account.

  1. On LinkedIn, click Me and Settings and Privacy.

  2. Click on the Visibility section and select Visibility of your profile & network.

  3. Select Profile discovery and visibility off LinkedIn and turn on Profile visibility outside LinkedIn.


Check LinkedIn connection

If the commenter isn't connected to your LinkedIn profile, their name might not show due to LinkedIn permissions. Send or accept a connection request to display their name correctly.
