Connect Twitch to Restream to reach a wider audience and grow your online presence.


How to connect Twitch

  1. From your home screen, click the Channels button.

  2. Click Add Channels.

  3. Choose Twitch.

  4. Log in and authorize basic permissions, allowing us to manage your title, description, stream key, and chat messages on your behalf.

  5. You're ready to stream to Twitch - you just need to choose how you'll go live.


Requirements

  • Twitch's maximum stream length is 48 hours.

  • Twitch has the following recommended stream settings:

    Video Guidelines

    • Resolution: 1920×1080

      • Streaming in 4K (3840x2160) resolution is currently in beta mode. For more details, contact Twitch directly.

    • Bitrate: 3,000-6,000 Kbps depending on resolution and FPS

    • Rate control: CBR

    • FPS: max 60

    • Keyframe Interval: 2 seconds

    • Preset: veryfast <-> medium

    • Profile: Main/High

    • Codec: H.264 (x264)

    Audio Guidelines

    • Codec: AAC-LC, Stereo or Mono

    • Bitrate: 96 Kbps (recommended), max 160 Kbps

    • Sampling Frequency: any (AAC)


FAQ

Why isn't my Twitch stream connecting?

The main limiting factor is Twitch's bitrate limit of 6000 kbit/s. If you exceed that limitation, you may get an error or a black screen.

Am I allowed to stream to Twitch using Restream?

Yes, Twitch now allows the simultaneous broadcast of streams to other platforms. You can find more information here.
