Restream Studio is a browser-based live streaming service that allows you to broadcast your live content to multiple top streaming platforms without special equipment.

How to go live with Studio

  1. Connect your camera and microphone.

  2. Set up the Scenes you plan to use during your stream.

  3. Update your stream's title and description.

  4. Connect the channels where you want to broadcast your stream.

  5. Click the Go Live button.

  • Studio can use any camera and microphone that your browser is able to detect.

  • Studio automatically adjusts your bitrate based on the resolution of your stream.

  • This setup is helpful for instant streams. For scheduled streams with Restream Events, please follow the instructions here to enter Studio under your event.

What bitrate does the Studio use?

  • 6 Mbps for 1080p at 30fps

  • 5 Mbps for 720p at 60fps

  • 4 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps

What bandwidth do I need to stream with Studio?

You can check your upload speed here to choose your stream quality.

You should have 10 Mbps at minimum, while 25 Mbps or higher is recommended for Full HD streams.

What's the difference between an instant and a scheduled stream?

Instant streams are lives you start on the spot, while scheduled streams are tied to Restream Events that are created in advance. You can learn more about scheduled and unscheduled streams here.

💡 Scenes help organize your stream flow and build your content in advance.
