With Pairs for encoders, you can add your channels to someone's stream, even when it's done with additional streaming software. Collaborative streaming is now easy.

How to add your channels to an encoder stream

  1. Access the invite link provided by the host.

  2. If you don't have a Restream account, enter an email.

If you already have an account, click Log In instead and enter your credentials.

  3. Click Add your channels.

  4. Add the channels that you would like to connect to the stream and toggle them on.

  5. Click Save.

Requirements

  • You can pair up to 3 channels for free (including paid ones, like Facebook pages or Custom RTMP channels).

  • You can only pair your channels before a scheduled event starts, not while it's live.

  • You cannot join on-screen through Restream when using an encoder, but the stream will automatically go live on your paired channels.

  • If you're joining on-screen through your host's streaming software, check in with them directly for instructions on how you'll go about that.

FAQ

Why do I see a message to come back in a few days to join?

With scheduled streams, you can pair your channels up to 7 days in advance. If you access the invite link earlier than that, you will see a prompt to return to the event once it is 7 days away and then pair your channels.

Can I un-pair my channels if I change my mind?

Yes. Just access the invite link again, click on the channel icons and toggle off the ones you want to un-pair. Then, click Done.

Why does the event announcement only show up on some of my channels?

Currently, only Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn support creating event announcements in advance. Any other channels you pair will automatically start streaming when the event is live.
