How to use Chat when streaming from an encoder
1. Restream
Once you go live from your streaming software, you can view all your chat messages by clicking View Stream under the active stream on your home screen and then accessing the Chat tab. You can also reply to messages from supported platforms.
2. Chat App
Our downloadable desktop app provides a convenient solution for managing your chat without the need to open any browser windows.
3. OBS Dock
When streaming to Restream from OBS, you can access the chat directly through a built-in dock. Simply log into Restream on OBS using the Connect Account option, and the chat dock will automatically appear.
If you're connected via stream key instead, you can manually add the dock by going to Docks > Custom Browser Docks > and adding this URL: https://chat.restream.io/
