Telegram is the 10th most popular social network in the world with over 500 million active users. It combines instant messaging (similar to WhatsApp) and channels for broadcasting content (similar to Instagram).
❗️Please note that Telegram App for Android does not support the live streaming feature. For the best experience, we recommend using the Telegram desktop app.
How to go live on Telegram
Download Telegram App.
Create a channel or group in Telegram.
Please note that you need to be the owner/admin of the group/channel to be able to stream.Select Live Stream inside the channel.
Copy Telegram RTMP Settings.
Important: Once you press Go live in Restream Studio or your encoder (OBS, Ecamm, etc), you need to press Start Streaming in Telegram.
Navigate to your Restream Dashboard.
Proceed to click the "Edit Destinations" button, followed by "Add Destination".
Select the option "Telegram" from the list.
Fill in the RTMP URL and stream key as provided by Telegram.
Note: Chat comments will only be visible in Telegram, not in Restream.
You are now ready to send your live video to your Telegram channel! 🎉
