Restream Scheduler is a unique service offered by Restream that allows you to live stream your pre-recorded videos on your behalf to your connected channels at a certain date and time!
Although Restream Scheduler is a separate service from Restream, you will need a Restream account to use it. Restream Scheduler will connect to your main Restream account and use the channels connected on your Restream Dashboard as your preferred streaming destinations.
Signing up with Restream Scheduler
To get started with Restream Scheduler, please go to https://scheduler.restream.io and click Get Started to sign up a new Restream account or simply log in using your previously created account.
Tip: When you create a Scheduler account, we automatically create a Restream account as well. Restream is responsible for the type of destinations you would like to send a stream to, while Scheduler is responsible for sending pre-recorded videos to those destinations.
Note: By following these steps you are creating a free account with Restream.io
Choosing streaming platforms
The next step is to choose streaming platforms you would like to stream to. We support multistreaming to more than thirty top streaming platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitch, etc. Some streaming destinations may require one of our paid Restream subscription plans. For instance, streaming to your Facebook profile is free, whereas streaming to Facebook groups and other pages are not supported by our free plan.
Tip: Please, keep in mind that you may need to have both paid subscriptions to Restream and Scheduler depending on the type of platforms you would like to stream to and the length of your pre-recorded video.
Choosing a Scheduler subscription plan
With your newly created account, you're automatically enrolled in the Free Restream Scheduler plan. This plan allows you to:
- Upload two 30-minute pre-recorded videos, up to 1GB in size
- Queue one stream at a time
- Upload via Google Drive, Dropbox, or Frame.io
For more video storage, length, or other features, please check the Restream Scheduler Pricing Page.
Adding streaming channels
After you’ve logged in to your account, you are able to add your preferred streaming platforms. Simply click the Scheduler button on your left and choose the Add Channel option. Here, you can quickly connect your Restream account to every popular streaming platform. For more info, read our guide on how to add channels.
Preparing your video for streaming
In order to provide your viewers with the smoothest experience, you may want to consider using HandBrake, a free cross-platform tool that optimizes videos specifically for streaming purposes. This tool compresses your video without demolishing the quality in order to ensure smooth streams without any interruptions. Visit our guide to learn more about HandBrake.

Uploading a Video
To upload a video to the Restream Scheduler, simply click "Upload Video" and choose a file from your device. Alternatively, you can click the down arrow and provide a Dropbox or Google Drive URL to a video.
Scheduling an event
To schedule an event with Restream Scheduler, click "Schedule Event" from your Events Dashboard. Choose the title, date, and time of the event, stream destinations, and of course what you want to stream!
Test your stream
Finally, don’t forget to test your stream to make sure everything works just as planned. The most common way of testing your stream is to set the stream in the private mode. You can do it in the settings of the end platforms you stream to.
