Events make it easy to notify your audience about your upcoming streams. You can schedule them from your home screen or inside your stream setup.
Schedule from your home screen
If you already have a stream draft on your home screen, either from a past stream or one you created in advance, you can use it to schedule your next event.
On your home screen, find the stream card you want to schedule.
Click the three dots and select Schedule.
💡 To create a separate stream without changing the original setup, choose Duplicate instead.
Fill in your event details, activate your preferred channels, and click Schedule.
Schedule from Studio
If you don't want to use an existing Studio setup or if you don't have one yet, you can create a new Studio stream from scratch.
From your home screen, click New Stream and select Studio.
Customize your layout, branding, and graphics — any changes you make will be saved automatically.
When ready, click Schedule in the top right corner.
Fill in your event details, activate your preferred channels, and click Create Event.
💡 You can always come back to your event after scheduling and finish setting it up later.
Schedule from your RTMP page
If you don't want to use an existing RTMP card or if you don't have one yet, you can create a new RTMP stream from scratch.
From your home screen, click New Stream and select Encoder | RTMP.
Open the dropdown menu in the top left corner and click Schedule event.
Fill in your event details, activate your preferred channels, and click Schedule.
💡 You can always come back to this page later and gather your RTMP credentials.
Schedule with a video or playlist
You can also schedule pre-recorded videos or playlists to stream automatically.
From your home screen, click New Stream and choose Video or Playlist.
For Video: select your file, then follow the prompts to choose your date, time, and channels.
For Playlist: select multiple files, click Next, reorder or edit them in Studio, then click Schedule in the top right corner and follow the prompts.

Requirements
Scheduling events is available for all plans, including the free tier, but free users will have Restream branding on their event's thumbnail.
Studio events, RTMP events, and Playlists are reusable. You can learn more about reusable streams here.
Don't go live before the scheduled time. You can follow this guide for testing.
Only Facebook profiles and pages, YouTube, and LinkedIn support creating event posts in advance. For other platforms, your stream will show up once you're live.
The announcement post box can only be checked during event creation. If you forgot to check it, you can delete the current event and create a new one.
The recommended size for thumbnails is 1280x720.
