With Restream Events, you can schedule a live stream in advance and share the link with your audience!

In this article, we will cover the following:

🧐 How to use Restream Events?

  1. Navigate to your Restream Dashboard and click on the Schedule Event button.

  2. Choose Encoder/RTMP option.
💡 You can switch between Studio and Encoder later if you change your mind.

  3. Fill in the following details and then press "Next":

    • Stream Title,

    • Description of your stream,

    • Date and time you plan to go live,

    • Check the Create an event on social platforms box if you want the event to create a notification in advance (currently, on LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube only),

    • Thumbnail option; you can upload a custom image to use as a preview before you go live. (Recommended size: 1280 x 720).

  4. Toggle on the platforms you would like to stream to and press the Create Event button.
💡 When you schedule an event on Facebook via Restream events, it will create a Facebook Online Event. Announcement posts will not be automatically posted to your personal Facebook profile's timeline. Instead, the new event will be created on the Facebook Events page.

  5. Copy the unique stream key for your software.
❗️Stream Key is unique for each Event. You must copy-paste the unique streaming key to your encoder before each event.

💡 You can allow other people to rebroadcast your stream on their channels. Press Copy the link to share it with your guests and press "Done". You can access this link later as well.

🧐 How to get a shareable link to the Event?

You can get sharable links to your events on LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube.

  1. Click the channel icons under the created event.

  2. Press the "View Event" button. You will be forwarded to the event URL. You can then copy it and share it with your followers.
