If you already have an event created from X Studio, connect it to Restream via our integration or as a custom RTMP channel.
How to connect your event to Restream via the X integration
First, make sure you've followed these steps to connect your channel to Restream.
From your home screen, click New Stream and select how you plan to go live.
💡 If you have already created a stream, click on it in your list of streams to open the setup.
In Restream Studio, click the Channels button at the top, toggle on your X channel, and click Edit next to it. From the Event dropdown menu, select your scheduled X event and click Save.
Under the RTMP page, toggle on your X channel on the right, click the three dots next to it, and click Edit channel. From the Event dropdown menu, select your scheduled X event and click Save.
How to add your event as a Custom RTMP channel
Go to your X Live Studio
Click your event under the Scheduled list.
Hover your mouse to Source under details until the Encoder Setup appears.
Copy the stream URL and stream key for your event.
From your Restream home screen, click the Channels button.
Click Add Channels and select Custom RTMP.
Paste the information you copied from X into the relevant fields.
Click Add Channel to save your event as a streaming destination.
Toggle on this custom channel when you set up your stream.
When you start streaming from Restream, your event will go live on X.
Requirements
X requires a verified X Premium subscription to go live. You can learn more here.
You will need a paid Restream plan to stream on Custom RTMP channels.
API-dependent features like Restream Chat and Analytics will not work for custom channels. For the best possible experience, use the X integration option.
