The Website Video Player allows you to stream directly on your website and reach your viewers and clients at the best place - your home page.
How to set up the website player
From your home screen, click the Channels button.
Click Add New.
Select Embed Player.
Choose a display name. The name is for your reference only and makes it easier to recognize in your channels list.
Once the channel is added, your unique iframe embed code will appear.
Configure your Embed Player settings (optional):
Choose between a responsive or fixed-size player.
Enable or disable the viewer counter.
You can update thumbnail images and orientation later from the channel settings in any stream setup. If your scheduled stream already has a thumbnail, the Embed Player can automatically inherit it.
Copy the Embed code.
Paste it into the HTML of the website page where you want the stream to appear.
💡 Once added, the embed player will show an “Offline” state until the stream goes live.
Enable the channel in your stream setup (only one Embed Player channel can be enabled per stream).
Start your stream, and the video will appear automatically in the embedded player.
Requirements
The website player is available on our Business and custom Enterprise plans.
The Business plan supports up to 1,000 concurrent viewers. This means up to 1,000 people can watch your stream at the same time. If you need more, contact our Sales team for a custom plan.
The website player works with any website that allows HTML, including popular platforms like WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, and Shopify.
The website player has 20-30 seconds of latency.
Chat is not yet supported for the website player.
The maximum stream duration using the player is 14 days.
The recommended size for thumbnails is 1280x720.
The recommended stream settings for the website player are:
Bitrate: maximum of 12,000 kbps
Keyframe interval: no less than 2 seconds
FPS: 30

Does the embed code change per stream?
Does the embed code change per stream?
No. The embed code is linked to the Embed Player channel, so it stays the same across streams. This means the same code will be reused for any stream where that channel is enabled.
If you want a fresh embed code, you need to remove the channel and add it again to generate a new one.

Where you add the code on your website depends on where you want it to appear and how your website is built. Your website builder or administrator can help with this customization, as each provider is different.

The embed player shows an “Offline” message until you go live.
If a thumbnail is set, it will display in the player before the stream starts.
If your scheduled stream has a thumbnail, the Embed Player will automatically use it.
You can also set or update the thumbnail in the channel settings within any stream setup.
When the stream starts, the video replaces the offline screen automatically.
Does the viewer counter only display how many are watching on the website?

Yes, the viewer counter only shows the number of concurrent viewers on your website player. It doesn't include viewers from other channels you may be streaming to simultaneously, like Facebook or YouTube.

Yes, you can embed your player on multiple websites. Keep in mind that the viewer limit is counted as one across all sites where the player is embedded.

Yes. Just enable the Embed Player channel and no other destinations. The stream will be delivered directly to your website using the embed code.

Viewers can pause and play the stream, but they cannot rewind.

Currently, the player doesn't unmute by default. However, you can easily unmute it by clicking on the audio icon.
