Restream Events is a quick and easy way to schedule a stream on Facebook and other platforms simultaneously, but if you've already scheduled an event on Facebook, you will need to follow these steps to connect it to Restream.
Please note that all API-dependent features such as Restream Chat, Analytics, Events, Titles page, etc. won't work if you connect Facebook manually to Restream.
Connect an existing Facebook Event to Restream
Go to Facebook Live Producer.
Click Scheduled broadcasts.
Click Set up live video.
Under Select a video source, click Streaming software.
Copy the unique stream key for your event.
Go to your Restream Dashboard and click Edit Destinations then Add Destination.
Click Custom RTMP.
Copy and paste rtmps://live-api-s.facebook.com:443/rtmp/ as your RTMP URL, paste the stream key you copied from Facebook, and click Add Channel.
Start streaming from Restream, then go back to Facebook and click Go live now.
Want your stream to automatically start on Facebook instead? When setting up your live video on Facebook, toggle on Go live automatically at scheduled start time.
Keep in mind this option will prevent you from starting the stream early.
